Chuchill is a great writer and this first hand tale of this forgotten campaign is first rate.However this edition does'nt include the maps of the original edition which would have been a great help in placing the troop movements in the battle chapters in the second half of the story.It's still worth a look at though; a great story by a great man. Also check out Conan Doyle's book on the Boer War!
