5.0 out of 5 stars Alice Deejay, July 23, 2003

The mixes are great the one that I like the best is the XXL mix it is more of a harder version of her ablum version of the lonely one. The XXL mix has a more a long dance track to get the more feel of it. It also has more vocal and it has more beats to it make it interesting to play in a club rave or house and trance enviorment. The Airscape remix is cool but it is totaly changed than the album version with a whole new beat to it with her vocals over the mix.

5.0 out of 5 stars Progressive Uplifting Trance, April 2, 2003

This is the third single of Alice Deejay's album "Who Needs Guitars Anyway." This is one track that shines on the entire album. Even though "Better Off Alone" is a great track, this is one that measures up to that. First up is the Hit Radio Mix. This mix is pretty good, but it doesn't make enough use of the second verse that is explored within the XXL Mix. The XXL Mix is one of my favorite mixes. The Airscape Mix is an instrumental track. Done in pure Airscape fashion, it features hard beats, but also a lot of beautiful and melodic synths. Next is the Transa Mix. This mix contains only vocal samples. This mix is hard and progressive. This is a really good mix. Finally, there is the Goetz & Marc A Mix. This is also an instrumental. This is really hard and progresssive also. This is more like a techno song than trance. In addition to these songs, there is a bonus screen saver and a copy of the music video. Enjoy!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an inspiring cd single!, April 7, 2001

This review is from: Lonely One (Audio CD)
"The Lonely One" is an excellent cd single which is not just pleasurable but a gift as well. The song and music video are both excellent tools in helping a lonely person realize that they are not alone and that they too can be successful in learning how to cope with the problem and lead a productive life. The song is about a young person who is all alone, lacking the necessary friends and relationships which are crucially vital in helping young people thrive and prosper. When a person is battling loneliness, they may feel all alone and think that they are the only person in the world with the problem. However, the repetitive lyrics, "You don't have to be the lonely one" send a positive message informing us that although we may FEEL alone, we are NOT alone, that there are other people, in fact, many people who are dealing with the problem and share the same feelings. The lyrics are telling us that we do not, in fact, have to be the lonely one. That there is something we can do about it. That we don't have to let it control us, that it is able to be coped with successfully. That makes us stronger and thus more confident. It helps us realize that in time, we will find the friends or relationships we are looking for and realistically, they could very well have the same feelings of loneliness. That's also what the lyrics mean, that we don't have to be lonely because there are other people out in this world who are also looking for the right person and have the same feelings. Realizing this, gives us comfort. I would HIGHLY recommend this cd single because it is not only an excellent dance song, but is a weapon as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some seriously hard after-hours mixes!!!!!, September 23, 2000

Yet another killer single from Alice Deejay!! The remixes on this one are a little more progressive. That's why I like it most of all. You've got a really pop sounding song with some serious after-hours hard trance remixes. Track 3 is a remix by AIRSCAPE who have done remixes for such artists like VENGABOYS and FAITHLESS (sounds a little like Paul Van Dyk) Track 4 is remixed by TRANSA who have done remixes for SASH!, BBE, SUNDANCE, and LUSTRAL. The song itself is not my favorite on the ALICE DEEJAY cd but, if you like the progressive trance sound of PAUL VAN DYK and others like him, it's great. Hope you like! I know I did. Bye, for now!

5.0 out of 5 stars The "Lonely One" in it's class, June 24, 2001

This song is D-BOMB! This is my favorite dance track of all-time. Alice really outdid herself on this one. If DMA even did a review on it, then it must be smokin'! A.DJ should be the queen of dance because of all of the hot singles that have come off of her album. She definitely should get an award for this song. Great lyrics, basslines, and synths. What more could you want?! Don't pass this one up. Also check-out my "more about me "section to find other slammin' trax like this one. Alice DeeJay RULZ!! If you liked my review, then don't forget to vote. THANKS!
