Hailing from Columbus, OH, the American Werewolves first howled into the music scene in 1998. At their inception they were known as "The Plan", which later developed into the band that they are today.
Much like their namesake, American Werewolves shape-shift from timeless 50's doo-wop to violent, blood-curdling punk. Their sound is built upon the DIY ethic set forth by early punk bands such as the Damned, the Misfits, with hints of Frankie Lymon for good measure. With numerous releases under their belt, American Werewolves are set to release their most developed and terrifying album to date, "The Lonely Ones"; followed closely by "They Died Crawling" - a comprehensive retrospective of their previous works. In the moments between wolf and man is where the American Werewolves are born.
The American Werewolves have toured with and shared the stage with such acts as: The Damned, Bury Your Dead, the Misfits, Agent Orange, Bleeding Through, and Integrity. The band is also currently planning an extensive coast to coast summer 2008 tour.
