Lonely Planet Fiji (Country Travel Guide)

I've been thinking about going to Fiji for a number of years now, and despite Lonely Planet's stumbling as of late with the quality of their travel books, I feel this is back to meeting the standards which we expect for Lonely Planet. There's a wealth of information, and on my quick spotchecks of hotels, how to get from A to B and activities, the information was accurate.

I'm quite impressed with the depth of the book, and instead of a high-level overview dedicated to tourists who will never venture off the beaten path, it seems that the authors really did their homework. I feel confident that I can use this book as a primary source of information and my "go to" reference.

Now comes the bad part: Actually having to save up for the trip to Fiji.

as with most lonely planets guides I have found the information to be very detailed and helpful in making decisions or checking information I got else where.

There are many islands in Fiji, over 300 hundred.

when i planed to go there, i didin't know what to do, where & when to go thru my short holidays.

this guide book shows simple summary which is reliable and I could make the best holidays.

The guide was very up to date. (Though, contrary to the guide, gay sex is no longer illegal in Fiji.) The descriptions are right on. I was able to arrange my boat charter based on the information.

I own 6 Lonely Planet travel books. I'm excited to add this one to the collection since I know that the information will not only give me interesting stories and facts about Fiji, but will give me a variety of crucial information that will help me plan my trip accordingly. Can't wait!

Great book, gave us a lot of information about where we were staying and where to travel!
