I bought this book when I was planning a recent trip to Grand Cayman. We ended up staying at Sunset House, and had a wonderful time. This book has a lot of good information about the island and about the diving, and led us to choose Sunset House as our hotel and dive operator. Most of the sites we dived while there were detailed in this book. It is fun to go through this book again now that I am home, as many of the pictures were places we visited and it brings back such happy memories.

Good book, covering many locations with usful specifics of the sites. Well organized for finding spots by general location. I wanted to snorkle from shore though, and wished it had a better index or matrix by this criteria, but the existing matirx/summary info was effective.

Disclaimer - I haven't actually been to the Caymans yet; but, I have read the book twice and used it to plan our trip. It's short but it covers the material very well. It's thorough and the information is well organized. You can definitely plan your diving trip to the caymans using this book. I would double check VRBO.com before you settle on a place to stay though.

I haven't liked every lonely planet book I've purchased; but this one is a good buy.
