5.0 out of 5 stars NorthEastern Brazil With Ian Wright, January 18, 2002

This review is from: Lonely Planet - Experience Northeast Brazil [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This Lonely Planet video covers traveler Ian Wright's trek through the NorthEastern part of Brazil. Ian is a amiable and entertaining narrator who always manages to provide good travel info with a dash of humour. The primary cities covered in the video are Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza and Belem. Ian also detours off the tourist track into the interior of NorthEast Brazil but just for a bit. I love this tape! It gives a very fine overview of the cities mentioned, though I wished they had spent more time on Recife and Fortaleza. It is a great companion piece to the Lonely Planet program wherein Ian Wright does the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro but unfortunately, as far as I know, the Rio program has not made it to video tape as yet. Brazil is a wonderful place to visit with warm people and great food. This Lonely Planet video gives the viewer a small but delicious taste of what it would be like to travel to the NorthEastern part of the country. And, take it from one who has been there several times, any of the above mentioned cities in the NorthEast part of Brazil would be a splendid alternative to the crowded tourist haven of Rio de Janeiro!
