This book had all the information on Florence's museums, churches and other tourist sites, restaurants, shopping, hotels, day trips and miscellaneous information (like getting to and from the airport) that you'll need. You won't need to buy a map of Florence: we were able to find everything using the maps included in this book. The book is smallish and slim so that it will fit easily in a purse. We spent three nights in Florence and were very happy that we chose this book.

I absolutely love the Lonely Planet Encounter Series of books. They are packed with great information and recommendations, along with detailed maps of each neighborhood. And the book fits right in your back pocket! I always buy this series of books whenever I travel. I highly recommend them!
