Lonely Planet should urgently review accuracy,

This review is from: Lonely Planet Healthy Travel: Africa (Paperback)
I would imagine the greatest concern for travelers in sub-Saharan Africa is Malaria. I paged through this at the bookstore and was about to purchase it, when my eye caught the map (apparently provided by WHO) on the distribution of malaria in Africa (page 23 - click on "look inside"). It suggests South Africa and Namibia has malaria, while Zambia, Malawi and Angola are Malaria-free. This is blatantly wrong (see for example [...]). The rest of the book seems okay and useful, but I'm not taking chances if they're so far off with something as simple as malaria risk.

KP's 2 stars was too generous,

I thought KP, author of the first review of this book, must have misread something when he or she pointed out the error on the malaria map page. That's just too glaring an error. Usually I find Lonely Planet guidebooks to be very good but I won't be buying this one. Thanks to KP for pointing this out.
