Warning - no hotel info (maybe that's normal for Encounter books),

Happy to see this is a e-Book friendly version for Kindle (LP Shanghai had lots of problems that made it tough to use...) Unhappy to see that there is no info about where to stay, and the other LP Vancouver books are not eBooks.

Superficial overview of neighborhoods, nothing more,

Disappointing for a Lonely Planet guide. A somewhat superficial overview of Vancouver's neighborhoods, written in a style that's trying too hard to sound hip, using words like "gayborhood", or describing coffee shops as containing "Puma-clad patrons hiding behind their high-end Apple computers". A useful guide for strolling around and getting a sense of the vibe of the city, but nothing about the cities history, museums and sights.
