Over the years I have owned several Rick/Ricky Nelson compilations. This CD intrigued me because the titles were in chronological order. In the past, most of the collections I have purchased mixed 50's with 60's tunes, with various levels of remastering quality. Well this company remastered it to perfection. Same level on everything song ,with the proper amount of stereo separation, highs and lows. To all Ricky Nelson fans, I suggest to trade/sell your existing 50's Rick Nelson CD's and get this very reasonably priced 3 disc set instead. You won't be sorry.

This by far the best early Ricky Nelson compilation out there. The sound is just unbelievable and right in your face. There is a nice STEREO mix done on these early mono recordings. If you listen with headphones you get a nice separation, and not just the dead mono sound you usually get with these early tracks. The master tapes this company used must have been first generation. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that I hate interviews. They should have put some more of this excellent music on disk 3.
