If I could give this CD 6 stars I would!!! I never thought the Mockers could top their brilliant (5 star) last album, "Living in the Holland Tunnel" but this new one does just that. "Electric Campfire" (great title, by the way) not only has tons of the usual Mockers' fantastic hooks and harmonies, but man, does this album rock too! If you're sick of power-pop albums that have 12 songs that sound exactly the same, check this album out, you won't be sorry.

I picked up this album after I noticed that the Mockers were one of the bands played on the new show LOVE MONKEY. I had never heard of them before, but after listening to "Electric Campfire" more than a dozen times, they're my new favorite band! These guys write 'em like they used to--great rockin' melodic power pop that sticks in yer' head like glue. By the way, the song listed on the Love Monkey website as "Lost in the Conversation" is on this cd under the original title of "Mola Guay Ok". A standout track in an entire cd of highlights!

If you only buy one CD this year, may sure it's this one; and then buy another one for each of your friends ! The Mockers have done it again: thumping melodies, soaring harmonies, intelligent lyrics and masterful production - the perfect power pop package.
Wake up world, these guys are absolutely sublime !
