I would like to know if the other 4 vol. are going to be released soon. I have this in the box set and would like to have all volumes individually for my den collection. This is the best western movie ever make. I think LONESOME DOVE: THE SERIES is better than THE OUTLAW YEARS but both are worth having in your collection.Starting with DEAD MAN`S WALK thru THE OUTLAW YEARS is great entertainment.

Very good set of dvd's it picked pu wherer the movie left off and did a great job of setting the tone of the original movies.

Great series. Hope to see more of McMurtrys books on screen. Great sound and quality. Would purchase from this vendor again.

Trying to compare Lonesome Dove: the series to the outlaw years, is like comparing apples to oranges. Lonesome Dove: the series is done in a wholesome, cleancut style. The outlaw years is done in a much darker, realist style. It's also a much more violent series than the first season. I enjoy the outlaw years much more than the first season because the scripts are better written. Call's clothes are filthy and he looks like he desperately needs a bath thru out the entire series. Call's a mean drunk and very hard to get along with. After his wife dies, he becomes a loner and a violent, bounty hunter. The series like the first, is centered around Curtis Wells. Kelly Rowan is a breath of fresh air in the series as a big hearted gunsmith.

Lonesome Dove-The Outlaw Years was one of the great things to watch. It's sad that it ended so suddenly.
