Gotta leave Fargo to get Famous, May 29, 2003
This review is from: Lonesome, Wild & Blue (Audio CD)
Brennen Leigh & her brother Seth left Fargo for the Texas Hill country and landed at Austin's SXSW festival in 2003. Their debut CD covers alot of ground--Roadhouse blues, alt.country, neo-trad country, bluegrass, with quality production. This album, especially the last track, is one of my Americana favorites on KRFC-FM.

A Great First Effort, June 6, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Lonesome, Wild & Blue (Audio CD)
Brennen Leigh's first CD leaves me wanting for an immediate second release. The blue grass/country sounds emanate from the past to enhance her own songs. The original tunes such as "Jesse James", No Way, Jose" and "The Legend of Benny Ambrose" are solid compositions and blend well with the standards. Her voice is powerful but soft when it requires. Produced by her guitarist brother, I anxiously await a follow-up.
