5.0 out of 5 stars Amazed! :)
Far better than their newest album, this album bleeds country music. From "Running Away With My Heart" to "When Cowboys Didn't Dance" A great album and Lonestar should have kept this tradition alive with their newest CD. We can't have everything though right? :) Go get this one if you're a real country fan not a transformed pop fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Upbeat Country Rock, October 18, 2000

Lonestar's self-tittle album has a great upbeat sound, following in the country/rock style of the 90's. The album starts off with "Heartbroke Every Day," a fast paced song that sets the pace of the album. There are a couple of good ballets, although "Taquila Talkin," is definitely the best slow song on the album. The best song on the album is by far "No News," a great and fun upbeat song.

I definitely recommend this album to anybody who enjoys the country rock style of the 90's.

5.0 out of 5 stars LoneStar is awesome!, June 18, 2001

If you love country, then you've got to like LoneStar! LoneStar has the most amazing harmony and their music and lyrics are beautiful and upbeat. True country music isn't about music that the fans like, it's about playing what's in your heart and soul. By the way, LoneStar is a COUNTRY band, not a hard rock band. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in the wrong place. LoneStar Rules!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Country's underrated albums, January 5, 2006

I only recently noticed that this album seems to lack in productive reviews. I also know for a fact that there are many Lonestar fans out there who only know of the modern Lonestar. I can't stand country music, but when I did think country was respectable, this was one of the few country albums I actually purchased. If you happen to be a die-hard Lonestar fan and don't own this, the debut album, you don't know what you're missing. The collective efforts of Richie McDonald and John Rich, (now of the overrated Big n' Rich), is amazing. This is what country is trying to be now. Lonestar was thinking ahead of their time, and these are the roots they should get back to. Thanks for your time, and remember, Country will never be anything but country posing as other music genre. This album is a great place to find the good country music.
Other recommendations: No Ordinary Man, Tracy Byrd; What a Crying Shame, The Mavericks; On a Good Night, Wade Hayes; The Outskirts of Town, Sawyer Brown

I loved this CD called "Lonestar" & my favorite songs are, "I love the way you do that", "Runnin' away with my heart", "Does your daddy know about me", "No News" & "When Cowboys Didn't Dance".

The people are Richie MacDonald, Michael Britt, John Rich, Dean Sams & Keech Rainwater.

They would eat at The Lonestar Restaurant & hear this CD they made in 1995.

I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
