a great listen,

I enjoyed the audio versions of Lois McMaster Bujold's books so much that I started looking for others by the same reader (Michael Hansen). I had never read the book and wondered if it would be hard to grasp audio only. Not so! The plot starts to thicken right away and the characters keep you in the book even cut up into "drive sized" segments (I listen in the car on my way to work). I found myself driving home the long way or going on unnecessary errands to finish up a segment/chapter. I finally gave up and brought it in the house to listen to the last few cassettes in a long [session] because I couldn't stand the suspense of figuring out "who done it" A great mystery/slice of gritty life book and the audio tape is superb!! Plan a long vacation drive so you can listen to it in one sitting.
