5.0 out of 5 stars A Delight to Read
Ms. Shirley's beautiful imagery and use of language make this collection a delight to read. I look forward to reading more of her poetry.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Frost/Welty Plagiarist Minus their Talent.
Visual and philosophical ideas adopted from both writers are served with a large dollop of ordinary poetic skills. Mediocracy at its best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly moving, August 15, 2003

Just a gorgeous piece, lovely work. I was some impressed with the author's use of language and imagery. Truly stunning.

I find myself picking it up again, from time to time, to reread passages.

It seemed like the entire book was about bitterness in people's lives. It was very depressing to read. I threw it out.
