The Long Haul
Great effort but I would like to have seen this done in regional volumes rather than nationwide. The only short coming I see is the number of importatnt carriers that were around that were left out. Regional coverage would have also left room for more that one sample photo for each carrier. Maybe there will be a second volume. This, despite some ack of...

Good but flawed.
This book is based on Mike Terebecki's nine volume set The Trucking Pioneers. Therein lies the problem with this book. Visually it looks good and benefits from the larger format chosen by the publisher. Content wise it copies Terebecki's book except for Adam's breakdown by region.Probably has better marketing which means many more will see these photos and histories...

This book is based on Mike Terebecki's nine volume set The Trucking Pioneers. Therein lies the problem with this book. Visually it looks good and benefits from the larger format chosen by the publisher. Content wise it copies Terebecki's book except for Adam's breakdown by region.Probably has better marketing which means many more will see these photos and histories. Still, because Adam did not expand on the earlier books mentioned, ie more and different photos of the equipment and more detailed history, this book is mediocre in content and can only be recommended in a lukewarm fashion to trucking history buffs. Grade C or 3 stars.
