There are some good tunes on this double CD set, but many are disappointing. Too much jazz and swing sound to some of them to suit my taste. I like the Bill Monroe type of bluegrass, and not just a conglomeration of tunes by people who had one or more bluegrass hits. I got it cheaply enough that I can't complain too much, but it is not what I expected and hoped for. |
