Produced by a cast including Buc Wild, The Beatminerz, Mark Sparkxx, Derrick “D.Dot” Angeletti and Pete Rock the album solidified Mic's arrival into the game. 4.0 out of 5 stars 3rd solo is a good one - possibly 4.5 stars, June 4, 2009

This review is from: Long Road Back (Audio CD)
Mic Geronimo comes back after almost 6 years off with his 3rd solo, and one that I'd say is about equal with his impressive "Vendetta" album and a notch above his "The Natural". With 14 songs on here, you get 1 classic, 2 almost classics, 1 ok song, the other 10 are good, some being real good songs. Guests are minimal, rapping on 2 songs and do the hook on 1 other, so you get alot of Mic G on here. Production is good as well. Jimi Kendrix does 5 songs, Needlz, Dollar Bill & Deb NiggaReb each do 2 songs, Doc, Young Lord and Large Professor each do 1 song. Mic G continues his to show his lyrical skill and story telling abilities on this one and I'm sure he'll keep flying under the radar, but this is a nice album to have for fans of lesser known artists who have alot of talent.

#1 - 9(nice beat)
#2 - 7.5
#3 - 8 (annoying chorus)
#4 - 9.5 (nice rock beat)
#5 - 10 (CLASSIC --- f/ Caddillac Tah, Bloack Child & Ronnie Bumps -- great beat)
#6 - 9.5 (tight beat)
#8 - 8
#9 - 8.5 (nice relaxing beat)
#10 - 8 (f/ Tyrese)
#11 - 8
#13 - 8.5
#14 - 8.5 (f/ Ja Rule)
#15 - 8.5
#16 - 8.5

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the BEST MCs You never heard of, March 29, 2007
By
This review is from: Long Road Back (Audio CD)
Everyone has there typical list of the best MCs: Biggie, Rakim, Pac, Kool G Rap, Redman, Jay, Nas etc.. But for whatever reason the whole world seems to have slept on MIC G. Lyrically he can match up with anyone of the names listed above. Almost every line has a double meaning that makes his sh** on another level. The best way to describe his style is a smooth gangster Rakim. His delivery may seem at first to be a typical East Coast talking style like Nas, Jay, Jada, but deeper listening proves otherwise. Every bar is precise, vicious and clear. This is an ideal CD to blaze to because it makes you think and he delves into a lot of Real Sh**, that real N** can relate to. This review is detailed so people can STOP SLEEPING.

Most people lose their edge with age, but he is probably hungrier than he was on 'The Natural'. This is what his second album could have been if he wasn't dealin wit puff, but at the time puff was that dude if you was trying to get paid. Every track is a straight BANGER except the one with black child, tah..that one is aight. I played the whole thing straight last night when I was elevated and it is some of the realest sh** I heard in years. I hope yall niguz will reconize. Get this Sh**, its a classic.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't Travel This Road!, January 10, 2006
This review is from: Long Road Back (Audio CD)
Just as the title of the implies it's a "long road back" for Mic Geronimo and the listener. Humdrum beats and wannabe gangster tales plague this cd. To add insult to injury Ja Rule jumps on a track to lend a pity ryhme for an ole friend.
Hopefully one day Mic will find the right road. Until then please save you cash.
