I was on stage at open mike night at Club Dada in Dallas, TX in May 2002 as a visitor from Germany and Courtney was on just after....I was absolutely engulfed by her voice, the sincerity and the playfulness of her performance...an absolute honour to receive a compliment from her that I would now like to return. I got both CDs right after the performance....and I can't share the opinion of the previous reviewer....since when is the beauty of a voice gender specific? Not a criteria for appreciation...Each and every song on this album is an art of it's own...handcrafted and from the soul....and that's what music is all about...Thrilled to have found her here. Best of luck and hope to catch her sometime.

Beautiful Voice,

Courtney Fairchild is a great artist. Both of her cds, Long Way and Simple and Distorted, are wonderful. She has a beautiful voice and sings about the people who touch her life. This allows the random listener to 'get to know' Courtney and really come to appreciate her and her music.
