Editorial Reviews

Review

A Long Way from Eden is a delightfully fast-paced novel. The discovery process reminds you of a puzzle as you build upon each correctly placed piece and do not really visualize the entire picture until its completion.
--Reviewingtheevidence.com

This is a good book for the reader who wants to just stay inside a warm room and follow two able detectives going about their work. David Chacko has written a well-constructed story that will keep the reader turning the pages.
--eBooks Reviews Weekly

I recommend this novel to all lovers of the crime genre for a breathtaking read of amazing flair and creativity. -- Carrie White

The characters are very realistic...The pace of this novel is very quick and flies as clues are discovered. --Teri Davis, ReviewingTheEvidence.com

More About the Author

David Chacko has written nineteen novels. Many are in the espionage and mystery genres with occasional outbreaks into common sense. He can usually be found in Istanbul or New York. The consistent factor here is that both places have good food, beautiful women, and memorable views of the sea.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trouble in Paradise, October 15, 2009
This review is from: A Long Way From Eden (Paperback)
Everyone who likes police procedurals, or just well-written stories, shouldn't miss A LONG WAY FROM EDEN. This story of a young woman murdered on the Sun Coast of Florida is a fascinating chase from beginning to end. Detectives Adam Templeton and Joe Davey are as good as the breed comes, each obsessed in his own way, and determined to have justice--or revenge. They're a great team--funny, bitter and smart--and the cop dialogue is perfect. The story's minor characters are as good and the Florida setting is rendered with fine heat. From the day the body is discovered in the eruption of a sinkhole to the violent climax in a sealed compound by the sea A LONG WAY FROM EDEN is a tale that no one will want to put down.
