This is 21st century Chicago Blues.,

This review is from: Long Way to Ol' Miss (Audio CD)
I don't mean that in a science-fiction, space-age kind of way, but as a simple fact: The most consistently working, consistently bluesy and soulful organization in Chicago at the beginning of the 21st century is Willie Kent and the Gents. Although you'll never hear it from the blues press for some strange reason, Kent is probably the best blues singer in the world today; for those who actually listen, he's the obvious vocal successor to Muddy Waters.

Great traditional Chicago blues,

If traditional chicago blues is what you're looking for, this is the one. In just about each song Willie leaves space for both guitarists and the pianist to play their solos, but they don't flood over Willie's gruff voice. I like every song on the CD; he's consistent all the way through.
