When I first took this out of the box, I was amazed with the weight being so light and the size being so large for a Kwan Do.
Having extensive long weapons practice, I would recommend it for anyone who prefers a light Kwan Do for speed performance and great for beginners as well as general practice. Fairly easy to do those complex spins and it features excellent counter balance. The price and overall make of this specific Kwan Do truly makes it comparable to those costing 3 times as much. Be careful though as this Kwan Do, like any weapons made of spring steel (unless you are trained) is not meant to be used to hit items as the blade may and will bend. Also the bottom part is meant more as a counter weight and for looks than it is for actual use as it seems to be made from not so hardened metal. Overall a fantastic buy and an equally great quality case that comes with it too.

not that I've had too much experience with other halbard-y things, but this is a pretty substantial weapon. What can I say, I like staffs, I like Swords, I like this thing. I think I'll name mine Betsy.
