These are full spectrum bulbs that cost me only $3.44 + $1.10 shipping per bulb. They are a little blue for first time users, but that is because of the yellow color of "soft white" bulbs. I would definitely recommend this product. The only thing I was unsure about was the bulb dimensions, which vary according to manufacturer and wattage. These bulbs are 5 1/4" long X 2" in diameter, and they just barely fit in my light fixtures. The seller should add bulb dimensions and lumens to the product description in addition to a spectrum showing the light intensity at various color frequencies. Shipping was fast, no problems. Buy these to save money on electricity, ease your eyes, improve your mood in the winter, and help the environment. :)
***UPDATE 12/21/2010*** Although these full spectrum lights are very affordable, the color of sunlight, and very energy efficient, I would now recommend the more expensive bulbs from Bluemax instead. They have CRI (Color Rendering Index) of more than 90, and they also offer a high CRI soft white ("sunset" as they call it). These bulbs are good and are pretty cheap, but only have a CRI of 80. If you want the best, go with Bluemax Lighting. If you want good but cheap, buy this.

We love and use these bulbs in our living room and study room. They are certainly different than the conventional fluorescent bulbs in terms of the light they emit. Much brighter. But like I wrote in my title they do nto last as long as the conventional ones. You will be lucky if you get a year and half.

I was pleased with the service and the light. I thought it was very bright, until I purchased the 27W 5500K, which made this pale in comparison. Now I use this bulb in my study and the 5500's for my birds and plants. I'm still pleased all in all. I learned and it's still a good bulb.
