"Between the girls and the storm-- not to mention the owlhoots and the Indians-- he was ready to explode.",

This review is from: Longarm and the Gun Trail (Longarm #368) (Paperback)
Longarm meets up with an old friend,peg-leg Richard Collins while on an excursion with his friend Cynthia Lairmer in Grand View in Colorado. The stage that Collins is driving gets held up,its strongbox with a big cash shipment ,gets stolen and Collins gets shot.
While not on duty,Longarm is derermined to hunt down the killers and bring them to justice. The fact that Longarm has no jurisdiction is inmaterial to Longarm ,and this leads to an interesting task.Longarm meets up with some very unusual characters who become involved with Longarm and the manhunt;in more ways than one.Two of these characters are a pair of sisters, like none other that Fargo has had to deal with. The number of owlhoots involved in the robbery seems endless and Indians also add to the adverture. This story has lots of fast action, shootouts, twists and turns, and just about everything else one can expect in a well written and constructed Old West yarn.

As a real fan of the Longarm series I have read quite a few western adventures that I have enjoyed. This one flowed so well that it kept me reading until I finished it in record time. Custis Long is again lucky in more ways than one. While the always horny Cynthia Larimer is painting Custis in the nude, they almost get caught by her Uncle, General Laremer.
I never give too much away to spoil the book for the reader, but you can bet there is plenty of gun action, twists and turns and of course sex in this western yarn. This was a fun read. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Martial Art Myths-Cafe Press) |
