5.0 out of 5 stars Another fantastic western adventure with Custis Long, but with a little different twist., September 14, 2009

This review is from: Longarm and Lovin' Lizzy (Longarm #359) (Paperback)
Anyone who is a fan of the longarm series has come to expect the usual fights, shootouts, drama, strange characters and uninhibited sex in these adult westerns. However, this one has a little different twist. Our hero, who has no experience in ranching, falls for a wonderful woman who actually persuades him to marry her and move to her ranch. As always, I hate reviewers who give alway the whole damn book in their reviews. This may be okay in non-fiction, but it spoils the reason for buying a fiction book. I will only conclude that if you like the Longarm series, you will enjoy this book.

Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Monadnock Defensive Tactics System)).

5.0 out of 5 stars Even for Longarm, the time comes to turn in his badge, and take up ranching., August 9, 2009
This review is from: Longarm and Lovin' Lizzy (Longarm #359) (Paperback)
After 358 episodes in this great series, the inevitable has finally come to pass.Somewhat reluctantly ,Longarm volunteerily decides to turn in his badge to his longtime friend and boss,Marshal Billy Vail, and take up ranching. It seems to be the chance that Longarm really never expected to happen. After all these years of giving his all to a job he really loves, risking life and limb countless times, with nothing to show for it all financially,he finds a wonderful woman ,who owns a ranch, left to her by her father. There is great chemistry between them, she is offering a half ownership in the ranch to Longarm with the idea that they will marry. All this seems to be enough to entice Longarm to hang up his career as a Lawman, take up the married life and ranching;at least to give it a try. After all,Longarm realizes he is getting on,and an opportunity like this is not likely to come again in the future.
All the Longarm fans have been expecting either something like this might happen;if not this, his final demise in a lonely canyon as the result of an ambush,or something even worse.
This is a great story, with lots of exciting characters and situations that will hold the readers interest and anticipation from the first to the last page.
