Biography

2000 is (not) the year of NOFX! But don't listen to the hype; listen to the record. Pump Up The Valuum is more clever, more irreverent and more crude than NOFX has ever been: and hot on the heels of the unprecedented The Decline, an amazing 18 minute punk-a-thon, NOFX come slamming back with 14 instant classics (in about 32 minutes).

Pump Up The Valuum combines some of NOFX's most outrageous (and… Read more in Amazon's NOFX Store

Editorial Reviews

It's NOFX!!! You know, one of the most imitated punk bands of the last 25 years, beloved by droves of loyal fans, the standard bearer in the independent music scene, among the most influential and often controversial bands of their time, the most widely traveled group around, the authors of countless hit songs. Yeah, them. They've got a prodigious resume to be sure and an extensive catalog to back it up: 11 full length studio albums, 2 live records, 13 EP's, and so many 7in it'll give you a headache trying to remember them all. With so many odds and ends out there, Fat Mike decided it would be nice to cull the majority of their EP's into one release, The Longest EP. A collection of 30 songs, The Longest EP spans NOFX's first Fat Wreck Chords release The PMRC Can Suck on This to their latest Cokie the Clown. It includes 8 tracks that have never been available on CD or digitally and 2 songs previously unreleased in any format. The albums title continues the bands trademark witticisms with the play on the title of NOFX's most popular EP, The Longest Line, which itself is included amongst the impressive track listing. In addition, NOFX commissioned the original artist that illustrated the now famous cover for The Longest Line to create the artwork for The Longest EP/ With an ardent and extensive fan base, NOFX's releases are always met with great anticipation and The Longest EP will be no different. Just up to the ante, the vinyl version will be a pressing limited to 2000, which will drive it's collectability through the roof.

These collections of songs make up a great album. I have missed most of the smaller albums that NOFX has put out because I live in a small town with no good music, but this CD with great fast songs makes up for it.

songs from previous eps and 7 inches. all on one cd. some songs i've heard before, some new songs, all pretty cool. great for people like me who love nofx but wasn't cool enough to get all the separate songs from previous releases. must have for completionists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Collection, September 25, 2010

This review is from: Longest Ep (Vinyl)
Unlike the title leads on, this is not an EP. Much like "45 or 46 Songs", this is a compilation album. This time containing EPs and Singles from 1987-2009. Before this album's release, you'd have to spend well over $40 in CDs and Wax.

This album contains select tracks not found on their main studio releases from such discs as the "Regaining Unconsciousness" EP, the "Bottles to the Ground" Single, "Take Action, Vol. 4", "Rock Against Bush, Vol. 1" and the "NOFX/Drowning Roses split".

Aside from the tracks you could only get from other multi-band compilations and NOFX singles, you also get a few full length EPs in this collection. "The Longest Line", "Never Trust a Hippy", "Cokie the Clown", "The P.M.R.C. Can Suck on This" and even the bonus track that you could only get though downloading their 2009 album "Coaster".

I highly recommend this to any long time NOFX fan or even someone new to the band.
