I bought Longevity brand after reading recommendations to use it in my Vietnamese-style coffee. When I ran out I did not want to pay the premium, so I bought a cheaper brand. I CAN taste the difference, so I am back to Longevity.

Longevity brand condensed milk is our family favorite since I was a child. We don't buy any other brand. I don't know what my uncle and parents use it for, but I use it in Vietnamese iced coffee and it's simply fabulous. Vietnamese coffee is traditionally made with a dripper like this Vietnamese coffee filter set but I use a Bialetti 6799 Moka Express 3-Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker and pour the coffee and a spoon of the milk into a tall glass of ice cubes.

At room temperature, the viscosity is moderate and easily pourable, like maple syrup. Refrigerated, the milk becomes more viscous and flows more slowly.

There are only 2 ingredients in here: milk and sugar. Other brands I've seen have a lot of junk added as fillers, including palm oil. One can is about 10 servings (2 tablespoons), according to the label, but I don't use that much at one time. For my coffee, I only use 1 tablespoon. 2 is way too sweet. I can get 20 or more servings out of the can.

This is a quality product and the can top is even embossed with a depiction of Shou Xing Gong (in Chinese mythology, the God of Longevity). He is holding a heavenly peach, another symbol of longevity in Taoist folklore. If you can find it locally at Asian supermarkets, the can is about $2.50 to $3.

Made in USA.

Tastes great. Sad that my roommates knocked over my last can in the fridge. Found it at the local grocery store though in the international foods section. I haven't tried enough brands of condensed milk to say that one tastes better than the other though...admittedly I bought this because I saw it in that video on how to make Vietnamese coffee.

While I enjoy this condensed milk, I feel that it has a richer taste than one would typically expect.
Not a negative, per se, but definitely subject to personal preference.

I was very surprised at the thick texture of this canned milk. It's also maybe just a little more sweet than what I needed. With that being said, if I had been planning to make a dessert with it, I think it would have been just right.

This was our first time trying a product like this. We use it in coffee to change what the coffe taste will be. Once we opened the can, we placed the contents into a sealed container and placed in the fridge. Okay, it makes it very thick. So we take a spoon, put some in the cup and brew coffee over it. The hot coffee dissolves the product and mixes well. It does not truly lighten the coffee. If you want to lighten your coffee, use half and half or milk. Too much of this product might make your coffee too sweet. Even when the coffee cools down, it's still great to drink. It's a small trial and error as to how much to use. Each person will have their matter of taste as to sweetness. If you use sugar, use this product first and taste. Then, if you need sugar, go ahead or use more product.
