I have always used a pocket watch because I wear French cuffs and so a wrist watch isn't practical - tears up the fabric. I had an expensive gold Tissot pocket watch that stopped running and was unrepairable after just a few years because parts weren't available. Anyway, this is a beautiful pocket watch. Make that stunning. The minute and hour hands are a bit hard to read in dim lighting but that is not a criticism, just an observation. I especially like the fact that it has no second hand or date window at 3 o'clock. When have you ever needed to use the second hand? Most likely never so why have it clutter up such a beautiful watch face. And the date window at 3 o'clock. If you need to look at your watch to know what date it is you've got problems. The Longines logo at 12 o'clock makes it very easy to immediately orient the watch despite the lack of actual numbers. So if you've got the cash and want a beautiful and sophisticated pocket watch - go for it. By the way, the seller Watches and Beyond is super.
