Habib Khan, along with cohorts Ira Stein on piano, Hans Christian on cello, Matthew Monfort of Ancient Future on his treademark scalloped guitar, and former Pat Metheny drummer Danny Gottlieb, construct eleven modern ragas which showcase the vituosity of Habib Khan on sitar. If you like this one, check out another CD from the same geographic and musical area, "Blue Incantation" by Sanjay Mishra, featuring the last recorded performance of Jerry Garcia.
