This review is from: Life and Letters of Janet Erskine Stuart, Superior General of the Society of the Sacred Heart, 1857-1914: By Maud Monahan (Paperback)
Janet Erskine Stuart is as relevant now as when she lived in the latter half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Hers is a wisdom that endures as long as human nature continues to struggle, endure, and transcend. I read this book fifty years ago and I'm reading it with equal pleasure now. As long as we need heroes, we need women and men like Janet Erskine Stuart.
