This book is a treasure trove of information and insights into the history of Germany and its people since the end of the Second World War. It deserves to be far better known than its ranking gives it credit for and is ideal for High School or university students as well as anyone interested in modern Germany. The book is short, concise but packed full of insider knowledge and it is obvious that the author, though British, has extensive knowledge of the land, language and people.
