5.0 out of 5 stars Look At Her!
"Look At Me" is a great song! It was a little bit diffrent than what I expected of Geri but I still love it! The song itself has a great beat and brilliant lyrics. The remixs are good too but kind of hard to keep up with in the begening if you like to sing. Geri has done great with this song and the album. In a way it is a good thing that she split from...

3.0 out of 5 stars Look at Geri!
Geri has proved she doesn't need the Spice Girls to sing a great song! I like the original song, but I hate the remixes. Good work, Geri.

The remixs are good too but kind of hard to keep up with in the begening if you like to sing. Geri has done great with this song and the album. In a way it is a good thing that she split from the Spice Girls and proved that she does have talent but in some ways it's not. I only have one thing to say to the people who thought she wouldn't be able to make it...Look at her now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Geri Halliwell comin' your way!, October 12, 2000

This review is from: Look At Me [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
Geri Halliwell's been surprising all of us all our lives. First, she surprised us (with the Spice Girls) with the release of "Wannabe". Second, she surprised us when she left the Best Girl Group in the world on May 30, 1998. Lastly, she surprised us when she returned to the music scene as a solo artist with the single "Look At Me" and the album "Schizophonic". With the debut single, she inched her way up to the 2nd spot on the UK Charts (not bad huh?). Anyways, this CD is an Enhanced one, so you can put it to your PC and the video will play. The video was filmed in Prague and the creativity of Geri was tested. It's a really great one! Now, here's the run down on the CD's tracks... 1. Look At Me --- clearly says what she felt about her experiences. It has a lot to say about almost every aspect of her life. 2. Look At Me (Mark!s Big Vocal Mix Surgery Edit) --- over 7 minutes of non-stop dancing. 3. Look At Me (Terminalhead Remix) --- 6 minutes of non-stop head-banging mixes. Over-all this CD is 4 out of 5. You judge for your own satisfaction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Catchy tune that shows Geri's unique talent., August 4, 1999

I've REALLY enjoyed this music. I hadn't heard it before until she sang "Look at Me" on "The Tonight Show" and I believe this song is fantastic! Some may say that Ms. Halliwell has no voice, but I feel that it's her voice that sets her apart from the rest of what I call "The Copycats". She shows in this album that she has the unique voice, like Stevie Nicks in Fleetwood Mac, and definitely the talent to persevere on her own and make life a success. My hat's off to Ms. Halliwell and I wish her all the best. I've thoroughly enjoyed the music.

3.0 out of 5 stars This song sounds like the story of her life, August 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Look At Me [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
"Look at Me" doesn't sound like a song. It sounds like a half rap song until you get to the chorus. The lyrics are completely telling her story as a Spice Girl, with the lyrics such as "loose living," "tight fitting," and "whatcha see ain't what you are getting." Those lyrics sound like the reasons why she left the Spice Girls, how she wasn't taken seriously with "superficial expectations." Well, the song is OK and the lyrics rather unique. The lyrics stray away from those of a typical song, which are lyrics about love. Geri's voice is unique as well, and it sounds fine. This really isn't a bad song. In fact, it's catchy after getting use to the melody and lyrics.

1.0 out of 5 stars How anyone can call this dribble music is beyond me., July 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Look At Me [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
The Spice Girls were a band I could always take or leave. Some of their songs were catchy, but not enough to elicit a purchase on my part. All I remember about Geri's time with the group is that her scary hair and make-up had my friend and me wondering if she was really a man in drag - which at that point would have been a more appealing thought than to know that it was a woman under all that garb. However, when I found out she had gone solo and "cleaned-up" her image, I decided to keep my notoriously open mind...well, open. But even I had to struggle to find something redeeming in this song. The only thing I could find was the music itself. Given to another artist with half a voice, this actually might have been a good song, and the video is cute enough. However, when you hear Geri, ahem "sing", you cannot help but remember the fact that she couldn't sing when signed on with the Spice Girls and they set her up with a voice coach before they could cut a record. Her voice has not progressed since then. When I listen to this song I feel more like I'm listening to a Danielle Steel novel on tape, because basically all she's doing is talking over a melody. If you're into just regular ole good pop, that's fine. So am I. But, PLEASE girls and boys, save your allowance for someone who can actually SING their songs.

The song "look at me" has the coolest sound, and it shows that spice girl music just wasn't for Geri!!!!! The song has yet to hit the radios at full blast but it does make you want to learn the words and sing with her.

1.0 out of 5 stars Geri leave it!, June 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Look At Me [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
Geri honestly has a terrible voice and the text of the song is nonsense. Does Geri really so embarassing or do you think this is the taste of small teenie girlies. She seems to be no woman yet, this song has no pride but simple-mindedness. And it is sexy like a vibrator with spines.
