Format: Paperback
This book had me spell bound from the first page to the last. I could hardly put it down. I was a young woman in the days of civil rights, born and reared for the most part in the south. I understood so much more about the feelings we southerners have about the south. I can remember clan rallies both as a small child and once as an adult and they were terrifying. The author tells of so many of the horrific things that happened during those days and the struggles of the Afro-Americans, without being gorrie and in a matter of fact way. I highly recommend this book.
