More About the Author
Soon after my first daughter was born I noticed she was looking at my large monochrome ink drawings of sunlit trees on the wall. When I used to take her on walks in her pram, the flickering light and shade in the trees above attracted her attention and seemed to enchant her. I knew that babies see in monochrome and are interested in high contrast images. Inspired by the new perspective my baby had given me I decided to start taking photos from her view point, looking up, and these have eventually become my first book.

I usually prefer hard-covered books to enjoy books with illustrations. Some of the other reviewers wished for a hard-cover book wished for a hard-covered book, too. However, by turning my Kindle into the landscape position, I discovered that I immensely appreciate the electronic format for this particular book. On the Kindle, each page of the book becomes a picture that fills up the screen, appearing to be backlit by sunlight. This illusion, along with the black and white drawings, because very young babies see in black and white, enhanced the effect of having the baby's experience as she visits the park.
The drawings are fabulous and when you combine that with a complimentary poem and this is a great gift for any young family.
It should grace every parent and grandparents book shelf. I will certainly buy the printed version as it is a book I would like to pass on through the generations.

This is a short but good little book. My grandson is 10 months, and loves the pictures.
Wish it had sound, it would be even better.
