This review is from: Look in My Eyes (Audio CD)
Unless you live in a town like NYC, Chicago, LA, or San Francisco where there are fans of the art form called Cabaret, you will not have had the opportunity to hear Charles Cermele. Pop radio is too busy trying to butter up the major labels and appeal to 14 year olds with disposable income. MTV and VH1 - ditto. Where DO you find ROMANCE on record? Not blatant sex. Not one night only. But look into my eyes and listen to the sound my voice makes and the words it uses when I am singing to someone who lets me know what it is to be alive and in love. You have to be in a room where Charles Cermele's gorgeous voice (think Gordon Macrae meets Johnny Mathis by candlelight)is on the CD player. If you know what's good for you - it's your living room. And both of his CDs are on your changer. The music is classic and the arrangements never get in the way of the words and that voice. Play it at dinner parties and there will be a moment when all conversation stops as everyone has tuned in to this CD and someone will break the silence to exclaim, "WHO is that wonderful singer and WHERE can I get this record?"
