5.0 out of 5 stars An Essential Tool For any Classroom, April 2, 2000
This review is from: Look, Look, I Wrote a Book: Reproducible Little Books for Emergent Readers: Grades PreK-2: Teacher Resource (Paperback)
This book is an excellent resourse for teachers grades pre-k through 1st. I have a first grade classroom, and the children can read the stories beautifully. Since they are reproductable, they can also be sent home to be read. Each story is based on a familliar song or book such as Chicka, Chicka, Boom Boom and "Mr Sun." Each story also includes a page to record who the child reads the story to. It includes ideas that can be easily implemented in the classroom. I rate this book an 11 out of 10!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent resource for reinforcing basic literacy concepts, stimulating creativity, or just plain rainy-day fun., June 8, 2007
This review is from: Look, Look, I Wrote a Book: Reproducible Little Books for Emergent Readers: Grades PreK-2: Teacher Resource (Paperback)
Look, Look! I Wrote a Book! is an educational resource intended for instructors of young children from prior to kindergarten through second grade. The reproducible pages are templates for cutting and putting together brief, little books with simple, repetitive, child-centered texts based on oral language, as well as share-and-sign pages. For example, the reproducible pages allow a child to assemble a book "Fish Facts" that reads "1-2-3-4-5 Once I caught a fish alive. / A fish can ___. / A fish can ___. / A fish can ___. / A fish can't ___. / 6-7-8-9-10 Then I let it go again!", and the child is encouraged to write true statements in the blanks. An excellent resource for reinforcing basic literacy concepts, stimulating creativity, or just plain rainy-day fun.
