I looked at several bat houses before buying this one. I chose this particular bat house because it is made to the Organization For Bat Conservation Specifications. Some of the other bat houses that I looked at online did not indicate that they were built according to the same standards. For instance, most did not indicate if they were properly caulked or even constructed with screws rather than nails.

To be upfront, I was initially going to buy a bat house from the Organization for Bat Conservation itself. (The organization was recommended to me by an article in a national gardening magazine on attracting bats to your garden to control insects). However, the organization's bat houses and bat house kits are sold as fund raisers, so they cost a bit more than I was hoping to pay. I looked up their specifications for building bat houses, but decided that it would be easier for me to find something on amazon.com that fit the specifications rather than build my own.

This company was the only one I found that clearly stated whether they followed the organization's recommendations. Some of the other boxes were built to other standards, such as to Audubon Society Standards, which would probably be OK too. However, most of the other vendors listed how easy it would be to attract bats with their boxes without giving an ounce of information on how well their products were constructed. Unfortunately, the reviews for the other boxes did not give much information on construction either. This one met the construction standards that I was looking for, had more than one chamber, and was reasonably priced for the quality.

The bat house arrived on time and well-packed. It also came with some literature on whether or not the bat house ought to be painted/stained - and if so, what color. Again, this is consistent with what I found through the Bat Conservation website (www.batcon.org). The same literature included information on hanging, maintenance, and how long it may take before the bats move in. Overall, I am satisfied and would recommend the product to others. However, be aware that it does not come with a pole and it comes unstained/unpainted. (Granted, this appears to be consistent with all of the other bat houses available online, so I don't view it as a problem).

I bought it for my husband who works outside in the evenings and got bitten by mosquitoes. He read that bats eat about 500 mosquitoes an hour, we had one bat around our area, but it is gone now and I guess it explains mosquito's outbreak. We hope to get bat back one day. This Bat House well made, it is important to buy from certified organization, because it is like buying animal cage - 1st of all it should be safe. House has mash inside for bats to hold to, made of cedar, assembled with screws not nails. I like bat logo on it, so for everyone is clear what purpose it serves. Best if it could come with some easy hanging device.

The Looker OBC Bat triple Chamber House was exactly as described, very sturdy and well built. I liked it so much that I purchased one as a Christmas present and the recipient was also very please with the product. I only gave it four stars because it's not time for the bats to arrive to see if their as impressed with this house as I was and make it their home. Also, this same exact bat house was more expensive on all the other sites that I saw it. Would definitely recommend.

Never bought a bat house before but we had bats in our attic gable vents and wanted to give them a place to go when I blocked off the vents. I was going to build my own but when I priced out the materials necessary to build one as large and as nice as this one I found I could hardly do it myself for this price. Couldn't believe the price of this one given it was constructed out of cedar. Given the ease of ordering through Amazon versus driving around and getting all the materials, this ended up being the easy choice. Came in just a few days.

I was very pleased with the quality construction out of cedar and had mesh lined baffles inside to accommodate bats clinging to them. Also, looks nice hanging on the tree. Mounted it high as suggested. As the instructions say though....be patient for the bats to move in. They seem to only migrate to new living spaces in the fall and spring.

I had done some research on the various types of bat houses, and the OBC sanctioned ones came out out on top for many reasons. It may not be the most "trendy" of the options, but functionality is what counts. It's well constructed and sturdy. We're looking forward to providing a new home for our bats!

...than the less expensive models from other companies. This is what a bat house should be. Very well constructed and finished with all of the features recommended of a bat house. Large landing area for bats, nylon mesh for bats to climb, plenty of room, sealed seams, and assembled with screws instead of nails. Rather heavy and larger than I expected, but all in all this is the perfect bat house. Now all I need is the bats!!!!

I looked at a lot of bat houses before setting on this one, which was the only one that I saw fit the standards put forth by the Bat Conservation societies. It shipped very quickly. It doesn't come painted/stained, but that's normal as bat houses need to be painted or stained different colors/shades depending on what area you live in. You will also need to build your own pole to mount it on since it is recommended you not mount it on a tree or the side of a buiding. I found this to be quite easy with a 4 x 4 and a 4 x 4 metal ground spike with some bracers. The house itself is well constructed with good ventilation and screws rather than nails. It has mesh to accommodate the little bat-feet and with a little weather-proofing it should be in excellent shape for a long time. I only gave it four stars because I don't have any bats living in it yet but I know they will find it on their own...if you live in an area that already has lots of bats flying around chances are that your house will have no problem getting residents. The informational pamphlet that comes with it is very helpful as well. Highly recommended.

I ordered the Looker OBC Bat-Triple Chamber House, and it's built very well. Very sturdy, looks exactly like the picture, the inside is lined with mesh for grip. Definitely a good buy.

I purchased the Looker Triple Chamber bat house less than a month ago. I also purchased the bat "scent" to attract bats to their new home. I already have bats living in their new house. Since I live in the woods, I prefer to kill mosquitoes without harming birds or other animals. Bats feast on the mosquitoes every night - and, I enjoy watching them from my back porch.

I ordered this bat house through Amazon because of the positive reviews it received. My old one was small and beginning to show signs of falling apart.The triple chamber bat house arrived in good shape about a week later. It is very sturdy and much roomier. I took down the old one while most all the bats were out hunting. I set aside the old one and the bats remaining soon departed. I went ahead and put the old one up back to back with the new one(pole-mounted). I thought the scent of the old house might help them take to the new one. A few nights later it seems they have all returned to their new digs.A few have returned to their old house. This new house will support a very good sized colony. (I think the species is Little Brown Bat). Anyway, I highly recommend this quality bat house. Dennis,Orlando,Fl.
