"What was the best thing that happened to you today?" Looking for the Good Stuff encourages its readers to look for the best in every situation. In this book you will learn the principles and assumptions of Appreciative Inquiry, a strength based organizational development method developed by Dr. David Cooperrider of Case Western Reserve University.

Looking for the Good Stuff scatters wonderful, inspirational quotes throughout the book along with "real life" success stories of people who choose to look for the good stuff. This book is a great way to learn the foundation of Appreciative Inquiry while discovering how you can apply it to your life and enhance all of your good stuff.

I recommend this book to everyone. It will appeal to corporate executives who want to lead by example, to staff members who want to build a positive team environment, to family members who want to provide a positive, encouraging family environment for their children. Teens will find the book inspirational and will pick it up over and over (as my 15 years old son is doing).

I received this book as a gift. I really didn't think much about it when I received it, just another book. But, I came home from work one day mentally and physically exhausted and upset because my day had been horrible from the start to the finish, NOTHING went right. I was feeling very down about my life, and how it was all going. The book was sitting on my kitchen table and caught my eye...well...why not read a little of it, I sure needed some 'good stuff' in my life that day! I was so intrigued by it, I actually read the whole book that evening, something I never sit down and do, being a single working Mom. It was wonderful, when I went to bed that night I was actually looking forward to the next day of work! It changed my whole attitude about life! And now when I have negative feelings coming into my thoughts and life, I sit down and read 6 or 7 pages...it really turns my world around!!! This is one very positive book that I would recommend to anyone who is having a struggle with life, or just wants to rethink the things in their life!!! Even if they don't read it cover to cover like I did the 1st time...just fan through the pages till it feels 'right', then read. Trust me, very few people appreciate the good things they have in their lives, I know I didn't until I received this book!!! It is truely a book that has changed my life!!! Looking for the Good Stuff is a diamond. One of the most surprising things about the book is the kind invitation by the authors to permit one to quote and share parts of the book with others. And Looking for the Good Stuff is well worth quoting. The book is based upon the principles of Appreciative Inquiry, a process which has been transformative for large organizations. It succeeds in translating these principles in a highly original way which may be applied by individuals and families. Ideas which may be familiar take on new life in original and exquisite expression. Quote this book!!!
