5.0 out of 5 stars the gift that keeps on giving, June 3, 2009
This review is from: Looking Like What You Are: Sexual Style, Race, and Lesbian Identity (Cutting Edge: Lesbian Life & Literature) (Paperback)
All I have to say is that I recommend this book all the time. It's one book project which skillfully moves across disciplines and media, bringing the visual to bear in textual analyses. Walker works out a great interdisciplinary dynamic between classic American texts, cultural realities and visual regimes. Immensely helpful in developing ways of reading, seeing and thinking through all kinds of narratives.
