Not as good as its prequel, August 4, 2007
This review is from: Looking for Miracles (Love Inspired #97) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book goes along with Gifts of Grace by the same author. It was pretty good, but followed the same formula of single guy meets down on her luck single mom, helps her out, and they fall in love. I enjoyed seeing the characters meet up with those from Gifts of Grace, and I liked the dog being part of the story. I wish I knew which books followed this, that were also about characters from this story, Carrie and her brothers, and set in Friedens, Missouri. If anyone knows, please comment and tell me.

Wonderful love story!!!, December 31, 2011
This review is from: Looking for Miracles (Love Inspired #97) (Mass Market Paperback)
After reading "Gifts of Grace," I couldn't wait to receive this book to see what happens to the long, lost brother. Gifts of Grace left us hanging, wondering rather Carl ever found his brother. Many times, sequels are a let down, especially when the first book is so GREAT, but this one was wonderful!!! I read it in one day.
As I read the book, I decided you could read this book without reading "Gifts of Grace," but the last chapter would certainly be better if you read the first one before reading this one!!! In this book, Mike discovers a woman in labor alone in an old, run-down trailer. He knows her deceased husband was suspected of drug manufacturing and trafficing; but is that all there is to it? Like his brother Carl, Mike suddenly finds himself with a read-made-family of one boy, one girl, and a beautiful single mother. Like the first book, Mike also has a very obedient dog.
There are lots of stolen kisses in this book, which makes for a great romance. I will warn you that this book doesn't really touch on salvation in Christianity, but it still shows that you have to have faith...And to top it all, Carl makes a wonderful announcement at the end of this book.
It was a wonderful read, and I highly recommend it!!!
