5.0 out of 5 stars Fast punk that stays tight and sounds great the whole time.
When I downloaded the song "Looking Up" by the New York punks, Cooter, I knew I was going to like them. When I finally got my hands on their debut album I was not let down at all. They play their instruments quick, yet they are all talented. The vocalist has a cool voice that is easy to listen to, which always helps. These guys are probably the best...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmm...
I love Autopilot Off (p.k.a. Cooter), and this cd has its good and bad parts. The bad thing about this cd is the similarity of the songs - most of them have nearly same drumbeat and guitar riffs. My favorite songs are the ones that don't sound like the rest: Full House, Looking Up, Underrated, and Sleep Tight. I (highly) recommend Autopilot Off's EP instead of this, but...

They play their instruments quick, yet they are all talented. The vocalist has a cool voice that is easy to listen to, which always helps. These guys are probably the best speed-punk band I have heard. I heard at their web-site that in April they are making a split EP with their friends(and another one of my fav bands) Slick Shoes, that will be released in April. I can't wait. Buy this CD if you like punk.

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best cds I own, November 2, 1999

I think Cooter made a great cd. The remakes of some older songs go great with the newer ones. Chris writes unbelievable vocals. Overall this album is great and well worth listening to over and over again. If you want a great punk rock band then listen to Cooter out of Orange County, NY.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT LYRICS, October 22, 1999

The music rocks and the lyrics have substance. MORNINGPERSON_2000@yahoo.com must be talking about a different band. (see prior review) The songs do not use stupid words to be funny, as morningperson_2000 claims. Check it out for yourself!!

And APO is not a Christian band...*sigh*

This band has some good tunes, turned on to them from the Atticus compilation under the name Autopilot Off. This CD however has 12 songs that sound very similar to one another, just by skimming through the tracks, the clips of all 12 tracks sound almost like they just duplicated themselves. Decent effort.
