This game is going to be awesome can't wait to get it. the only thing this game has lacked previously in my opinion is the graphics but they were still way better than any 2k sports game. With the ps4 power this is a must have super stoked =)
The one thing I hope they remove is the advancement goals once you hit the majors. I should get demoted or become a starter based on stats not because I could or couldn't get 2 walks in the next 3 series or 2 home runs in the next 5. And once I'm in the majors if I don't want to improve on arm strength or glove I shouldn't have to.
The game is great regardless but I have more fun in the minors, so when I finally get to the majors I start a new character.
Those advancement goals are the worst! It's especially maddening when you get a message from the manager saying, "I expected a little more than 8 home runs in that last series" lol. It needs to be more dynamic and adjust to the situation, over doing silly things like in the previous games. I'm okay with the game forcing plate discipline and wanting our player to take walks, but it can get annoying at times. Also, I feel like they need to remove the advancement level up requirements. The game totally ignores your stats and just cares about how your arm accuracy is up to par or something ridiculous like that. I love the series, but it needs a major overhaul on the RTTS. It's just the same things every season, only with a few graphical and animation upgrades.
There was guy on twitch who casted 13 and didn't want to be on team anymore. So he simmed the season. Was in running for the mvp and triple crown but was benched and then demoted to triple a. Then released. Te advancement goals are stupid and I agree that hopefully they are removed.
This isn't about refusing to take a walk. It's about miss the walk achievement by one or two, but at the time hitting .340 with 18 homeruns and the lead in RBi. Just an example of course. No GM in the right mind would demote someone for not getting a walk or two, or not hitting enough homeruns when you're one of the best players on the team.
