If youre a fan of the hardcore punk genre, i am positive u will love the album. this is The Death's 1st album, and it is probly the most punk album theyve put out. The 2 newest albums are more hardcore and less punk. every song is raw and faced paced with heavy drum beats, intense guitar work, and beastly bass riffs. my favorite part of this cd, is the singer Efrem Schultz. He is amazing. He mixes a raw yelling voice, with a deep true singing voice. and then occasionally he busts out his intense scream. All the band members are extremely talented, especially Efrem tho. If u like old skool AFI, minor threat, black flag, GBH, sick of it all, the nerve agents, Heckle, or any other harcore punk bands, you'll dig Death by Stereo.
This album probly tops Day of the Death by a hair in my opinion. Their newest album, Into the Valley of Death isnt nearly as good as this album and Day of the Death.

This is my new favorite album. I'm in Iraq at the moment, and I put "Lookin' Out for #1" on everyday before a mission. The vocals & drums are awesome and great for getting me pumped up to cruise around Taji with a .50cal.

Death By Stereo. I had never heard of them. I saw them live with AFI, and they rocked the house. They are one of the best hardcore/emo bands I have ever seen. The cd is just as good as the show was, as far as I am concerned. Every song has a different style and sound to it. If you are a fan of hardcore or emo, your collection is not complete without this CD.

this is hardcore at its best! i've seen this band a few times and they're always great. the singer has a great deal of stage presence as well.

but on that corey feldman tip...to the last reviewer or so..that is actually corey haim saying that in lost boys!i know.

If Corey Feldman only new his immortal words from the movie "Lost Boys", would one day grace the lips of hundreds of Orange County hardcore faithfuls. I know Corey Feldman perosonally and let me tell you he would be honored. Death By Stereo rocks, that's all there is to it.

They are the bomb. I was there when they played their free show at Cal State Fullerton. I liked Efrem's hair, haha. This cd is intense with awesome guitar playing and other stuff.

This album ROCKS!! I decided to get their album after seeing them live at a local rock concert and thought they were great - after the first few songs on this album I thought they ruled!! Loads of my mates have borrowed my CD, none of us can put it down. GET IT!

After a friend played me just the first song, I had to buy this disc. It is awesome, there is no other way to put it. They mix hardcore, metal, punk and emo flawlessly - the songs are heavy, catchy, melodic and fast. This band is not content to find a single good riff and repeat it - the songs change and there are breakdowns aplenty. If you buy 1 hardcore disk - make it this one. I can't recommend it enough.

Death By Stereo is simply the most talented band of all time. While in my opinion Day of The Death was better, their material is still incredible. From the nonstop fast-paced drums, to the energy-packed vocals, and the technical guitar parts, there is no reason why you shouldnt have this cd. Get your car keys right now, and go buy this cd.

I know a couple guys in this band and id have to say that when they first started out, they really sucked!!(heard them at B.D.s birthday party,way back).Since then, however,they have evolved into an awsome rock band. The drummer, Jarrod(big Dawg) is probly one of the best I have ever heard in the O.C. scene. he is a human metronome! Paul and Jim Miner (bass, lead guitar) did other work in Cleanx and road apples...to name a few. These bands suck,but in DBS they have a fresh new sound. Id say the only weak point in the band is effram,or however you spell it. The lead vocals, formerly from clint, need to change. He sucked in clint and he sux now....the band needs to lose him.Anyway, buy this and support Orange County.
