Like a lots of things in life, it's only with the passing of time that you learn to really appreciate things. Bid Daddy Kane had the misfortune to be in his prime in the Golden age of Hip Hop, with the likes of Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, as his peers. Oh for a BDK now. This was his last release for Cold Chillin', and after this time, he was M.I.A. But what a CD to sign off with. This CD, too my mind, also highlights his weakness, wanting to a rapping about love, when most of his fans wanted him to be hardcore (listen to the `Prelude', where the great man addresses the situation himself) This CD is very hit & miss, but it showcases a man at the peak of his abilities. The lead single was this CD was' How U get a record deal'; with a very catchy video (check out you tube!) One of the highlights of this CD is' The Beef is on' which I can only describe as RUFF, true vintage Kane, in gangster mode. .'Stop Shammin' deals with the fakeness in the hip hop music industry (still relevant today!), whilst his dancers, Scoob & Scrap get on the mic on the afore mentioned `Here comes Kane, Scoob & Scrap'. Any fan of BDK should have this in their collection, and witness a true hip-hop GREAT.

One of tha Best Kane's Albums,
This review is from: Looks Like a Job For (Audio CD)
The Big Daddy Kane's 5'th album is different from his others, it made with the hardcore New York flava. No more dance melodies, fast old school hip hop rhymes, just strictly raw hardcore. If you like Show & AG's "Goodfellas" and Black Moon's "Enta Da Stage" - U'LL LOVE IT. Trust me!
