Because I live in northern Wisconsin, loons have always been a part of my life. They were just always there but I never knew much about them. Finding Mr. Klein's book at the home of a friend was a wonderful event and I knew I wanted my own copy. It is masterfully researched and written for "loon people" and is not unduly cluttered with scientific phrases. Mr. Klein could be sitting in my living room talking to me! Obviously he loves his subject. I love the book and love the loons more for having read it.

This is a great book that really helps and people of all ages learn more about one of the most fascinating birds. The loon. This book talks about the different species of loons and also breeding and hunting techniques. Yet why would anyone want to read a book on loons?
