This is a great game for the right bunch. As long as everyone plays fair, you can have a great time. Be aware that you need a fairly large group (8+ people) to play this. "The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow" is another version of this game that provides additional special characters besides the Seer (who is called "The Fortune Teller" in that version), allowing for more variation in the game. There is even a "New Moon" supplement for that version that adds even more special characters and variants. "Are You a Werewolf?" is a good inexpensive version of this game, but I recommend "The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow" for those who are willing to spend a little more.

A Great Party Game,

My friends and I LOVE this game. It's one of our staples when we all get together. It's a blast to see the way you all try to deceive; avoid detection; and survive. Two people are werewolves; one is the seer; the rest are villagers. Each "night," the werewolves kill off a villager and the seer tries to identify a werewolf. In the "morning," you find out who was killed off, and everyone votes to lynch someone trying to catch the werewolves. It's so fun to see who the final survivors are. If the werewolves get all the villagers killed off, they win. If the villagers successfully catch the werewolves, they win. But the real fun is in the voting who to lynch part. The werewolves trying to not get killed. The seer may or may not know who is a werewolf, but if he makes himself known as the seer, the werewolves will kill him the next night!
It only takes about 5-10 minutes to play, but you'll play round after round with your group of friends. It's best with at least 8 people. It's like a quick mini game of Survivor. Great party fun!

Good condition and a great price. Brought this to a family camping trip and all my cousins liked this variation from our usual "Mafia" game. Thanks

Loved playing this at large family gatherings. It's complex enough for big kids, but simple enough that the younger ones can play too!

A fun game for nerds and non-nerds alike (I assume; I'm a nerd, so who knows about non-nerds). It can be played in a very bare-bones, simple manner or as elaborately as your imagination can make it. I only put a low durability since, well, they are paper cards after all, and low education because it's really not much of a child's toy, though teens could play it.

Do not ask stuffy over 40 alcoholic over achievers to play this game. They will not understand and they will cheat. Playful adults will love it. I instantly kill off people who cheat. Moderator be sure to look at everyone's card bc you could spend valuable time trying to find the werewolves or the seer. You know, the people too stupid to open their eyes when you say " the moon is full and the werewolves awaken". Or worse yet the person who opens her eyes knowing she isn't a werewolf, thus throwing you and the other werewolves off. Very important, make sure there are 2 werewolves and a seer in the set of cards you deal out or you will have to start the game over. Also, I had a prize for the winner(s). Which made people take the game seriously. Its good to teach the consequences of violence to young people. When you close your eyes if you're not careful you could wake up dead. It also helps you to identify the true sociopaths and compulsive liars.
