This review is from: Looney Tunes Lovables Board Book Collection: Baby Sylvester's Busy Day, Baby Bugs' Favorite Things, Razzama-Taz, Good Night, Baby Tweety (Board book)
With fond memories of the fun and silly antics of the Looney Tunes of my youth, I had high hopes for these books. The box that they came in did not last long as the handle came off immediately and the box just wasn't sturdy enough to bother keeping. That was expected though so it wasn't a big deal at all. The graphics themselves are also decent. I had, however, anticipated these books being short little stories more in line with the traditional Looney Tunes with Bugs cleverly manipulating a situation, etc (like what was done in the Bugs Bunny version of "The Three Billy Goats Grump"). Unfortunately, these books definitely do not attempt to be clever. Mostly they involve the various baby characters doing things that we parents spent a lot of time and energy preventing our own children from doing - painting the walls, throwing their food around, etc. While I'm sure the books mean to be cute, this is the one time when I actually don't want to read a certain book to my child simply because it promotes bad behavior. The books are sturdy enough and rhyme so two stars for that.
