Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Based on one of the most popular cartoons in the Looney Tunes library, players will direct Ralph Wolf throughout the flock of sheep while avoiding detection by Sam Sheep-dog. Your mission, of course, is to use all sorts of outrageous mail-order equipment (Acme, naturally) to get to some delicious lamb chops.

Amazon.com Preview

Upon hearing the title, many gamers will think this is a deviant's take on the popular Tomb Raider series. In actuality, Sheep Raider is a wholesome single-player strategy game that features two of Warner Brothers's B-list Looney Tunes characters. More popular characters such as Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Foghorn Leghorn make cameos appearances. The object of the game is to help Ralph Wolf amass a flock of sheep by stealing them from Sam Sheep-dog. In addition to his considerably stealthy skills, Ralph will have the Acme catalog of products with which to work.

Sheep Raider's levels feature clever puzzles in which Ralph must chain together various items. Discerning the right actions and order was pleasantly challenging in our preview. It was a real treat to use the items, as the actions captured the feel of seeing these ludicrous creations in the cartoons. You'll get to use female-sheep perfume, safes, rockets, giant rubber bands, and more. The character's overstated movements, such as Ralph's giant-stepped tiptoeing, further add to the Looney Tunes feel. With its E rating and budget price, Sheep Raider is shaping up as a great game that should appeal to gamers of all ages. --Raymond M. Padilla

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the funnest games I have seen in a long, long time!, March 1, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Looney Tunes: Sheep Raider (Video Game)
Ok, so if you are reading this, wich you are, I take it you are looking for a fun game! Well, you have found the right website!
Amazon sells this game for a lot cheeper then I have seen around and I highly recomend this game to you if you have children from the ages 3-100, (i really hope you dont on the count of I am pretty sure you are a kid)anyone of any age would love this game, unless you have a really bad temper, then dont buy it... but anyways, it usually takes a while to load, it is worth the wait though! Daffy Duck is a 'cool' dude who gets you, Ralf Wolf onto a tv show! (talk about 15 mins. of fame)and you have to go into a 3d world that is just like the cartoons from Sam's (the sheep dog) harry face to the tippy top of Ralf's fuzzy, long, dumb face! You will have to use a lot of brain power (witch Ralf lacks to have)to trick the old dog and take the sheep home to have a lovly feast of lambchops! Anyways, there are a lot of fun ACME gagets to use, the graphics are a little choppy, because it is only on an older platform, the Sony Playstation, and Daffy's voice does get a little annoying... but the game is fun enough to keep you interested, trust me! I hope that you will rent it first and see your oppinion of the game, and then, write a review about it! If you buy it, I hope you have fun! (dont worry, you will...)And I hope this helped you out there who are interested in the fun game!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Cartoon Adaptation, May 16, 2002

FINALLY, a game based on a cartoon series that actually, effectively captures the humor and sheer cartoonishness of its inspiration! This game is funny, clever, and just difficult enough to make wasting time beating it worthwhile. The Daffy Duck-driven, external plot is pretty bad and cheaply rendered, but the actual gameplay is wonderful. Let's hope Infogrames' promised future titles for the latest platforms improve on the 32-bit PSOne graphics but retain the authenticity of games like SHEEP RAIDER.

5.0 out of 5 stars Way too much fun, October 29, 2001

This review is from: Looney Tunes: Sheep Raider (Video Game)
I bought this last week and have played it almost every free hour since then. I love it, especially the fact that it requires both dexterity and logic. There's only one problem: because the game is so new, I haven't found any useful hints, and now I'm stuck on level 10 where you go into the room to fight Gossamer (the big red monster). I can't figure out how to beat him! I was writing a walkthrough to post on the net but now I'm stuck. Bummer. If you've gotten further than me, please clue me in. In the meantime I'll keep trying.
