1.0 out of 5 stars I did I did tee all tese before September 16, 2010
SUFFERIN SUCCOTASH WARNER BROTHERS, HAVE YOU GONE LOONEY?! I mean seriously, what's up doc (whoops pardon me, wrong character) all these cartoons have appeared before in volume 2 of LTGC, a previous review for this DVD mentioned cartoons that could (and should) of been on this DVD such as 'Rebel Without Claws', 'Dog Pounded' and 'Tom Tom Tomcat'. Oy vay WB, what's wrong with you, you can do better then that, I wont be buying this DVD!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars I tawt I taw...all of these before September 8, 2010
For those of you (like me) who diligently snapped up the Looney Tunes Golden Collections (all 6 of them), you might want to steer clear of this collection, because from what I heard, it has nothing that hasn't been covered by the LTGC releases.
Not that it isn't great stuff. If you DON'T have the LTGC's, then I'd give this DVD 5 stars. But I do have the LTGC's and the prospect of not getting previously unreleased Sylvester and Tweety shorts is DETHPICABLE!!!
What you get here are the 2 S & T shorts that won Oscars (Tweetie Pie and Birds Anonymous) and at least one other (Mouse and Garden) that was nominated for an Oscar. Notably missing are Hyde and Go Tweet (where Tweety drinks some of the Hyde monster formula and he and Sylvester take turns being the hunter and the hunted), Rebel Without Claws (which takes the S & T formula to a Civil War battlefield), Dog Pounded (which features a Pepe Le Pew cameo), and Hawaiian Aye Aye (which takes S & T to Hawaii where a shark takes the place of the bulldog in guarding Tweety). I also loved Tom Tom Tomcat which depicts Sylvester and a bunch of other cats as Hollywood-style Indians, but I can see why this one will NEVER be released on an official Warner Bros. DVD.
So keep checking You Tube for these and other S & T shorts that won't make it to DVD.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Ol' Puddy Tat! We already have these. October 16, 2010
NO NEED TO BUY THIS DVD, you already got these in the Golden Collections.

Here is the list of the cartoons that we ALREADY HAVE. At least these are not going to be masked to look widescreen.
"Tweetie Pie" (GC Vol 2)
"Bad Ol' Putty Tat" (GC Vol 2)
"All Abir-r-r-d!" (GC Vol 2)
"Canary Row" (GC Vol 1)
"Puddy Tat Twouble" (GC Vol 1)
"Room and Bird" (GC Vol 2)
"Tweety's S.O.S." (GC Vol 1)
"Tweet Tweet Tweety" (GC Vol 2)
"Gift Wrapped" (GC Vol 2)
"Ain't She Tweet" (GC Vol 2)
"Snow Business" (GC Vol 2)
"Satan's Waitin'" (GC Vol 6)
"The Last Hungry Cat" (GC Vol 3)
"Bird Anonymous" (GC Vol 3)
"Tweety and the Beanstalk" (GC Vol 5)

It seems that Warner Home Video has lied to us about not repeating any Golden Collection Cartoons in this new Looney Tunes Super Stars series. I also assume Jerry Beck has lost his say on what goes into these DVDs. Japan got a new set of Tweety DVDs that feature cartoons not issued on DVD in the U.S. There are still 25 Tweety & Sylvester cartoons not released to DVD in the U.S.

This 4th Super Stars DVD release was originally going to be a Porky Pig set until Warner thought it would be mostly B&W cartoons from the 1930's. By my count there are 10 Porky Pig color cartoons & 10 Porky Pig & Daffy Duck color cartoons not released yet, so that argument doesn't hold.

The official statement from Warner Home Video:
"The first two releases of the Looney Tunes Super Stars series were enthusiastically received by consumers and we are thrilled to offer these next two installments from the series," said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President of Family, Animation and Partner Brands Marketing.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a wasted opportunity! October 18, 2010
I don't know why Warner Bros. went back on their word to cover new ground for this series. If they can release cartoons that are already out why not release new ones? It is especially sad here because 15 new cartoons would have practically rounded off the Tweety & Sylvester series when put together with what's already out on the Gold Collections. Maybe they didn't want to release Tom Tom Cat, so fine, but here is what this DVD SHOULD have contained:
1. Fowl Weather
2. A Streetcat Named Sylvester
3. Catty Cornered
4. Dog Pounded (one of their best, release this award nominated gem somehow Warner)
5. Muzzle Tough
6. Tweety's Circus
7. Tree Cornered Tweety
8. Tugboat Granny
9. Greedy for Tweety
10. Bird in a Bonnet
11. Tweet and Lovely
12. Tweet Dreams
13. Hyde & Go Tweet (another sadly missed "must")
14. Trip for Tat
15. Rebel Without Claws
Now wouldn't that be a collection to behold? The Foghorn Leghorn one isn't perfect either (for starters I would have replaced "Broken Leghorn", which is also needlessly duplicated for "The High and the Flighty"), but I will still buy that for the new shorts. But ONLY that one for this round of the Super Stars series.

1.0 out of 5 stars why warner brothers ? October 11, 2010
The looney tunes golden collections were brilliant sets for fans and great value so why with over a thousand cartoons to choose from would warner brothers stop the golden collection and start these superstars series and give us the same cartoons again and not very good quality from what i hear. I was looking forward to many more volumes of the golden collection , very disapointing warner brothers and I wont be buying this set.
